Big White, Whitewater, Red Mountain and Fernie – a discovery tour through the south of British Columbia along the U.S. border. The first 3 days, we are in the Big White Ski Resort with its imposing mountain ridges and slopes operational 112 with countless deep snow and forest slopes.

The village lies at 1700m above sea level, so a truly secure venture snow! Our hotels are located no more than 2 minutes away from the nearest lift and several ski runs go directly through the site.

The extensive ski area, the fabulous snow, fast, but comfortable departures, night skiing, and of course lots of offers outside of the slopes is an ideal prelude to your trip. “Snowshoe-Sam” is the tip for après-ski and juicy steaks – to name just one example of the total 8 to restaurants. The new Fun Park “Happy Valley” is ideal for hockey, tubing (tubing chutes) and long run.

On the afternoon of the 4th Ski day we drive in about 6 hours after Nelson into the Heritage Inn Hotel, from where we ski resorts Whitewater and Red Mountain will jump. Nelson is a vibrant, historic town with lots of charm – in itself worth a trip! The Whitewater Ski Resort is a small but fine ski area, beautifully situated, and has excellent snow!

The same goes for Red Mountain: here you can get from Granite Mountain 360 degrees in all directions depart, whether on track, through the woods, over open snow fields and by steep gullies. Fabulous skiing at the 2 ski areas that have not yet touched by the large ski are!

After 3 days in the Kooteneys is now on to our last resort: Fernie – also known as the “snow hole of BC”! 8.7 m of snow per winter, 5 large Bowls with 102 departures promise finest skiing in the Canadian Rockies! Our hotel, the Park Place Lodge, located 10 minutes away from the ski area in the quaint town of Fernie. Here you also have the opportunity to Catskiing for a day.
